On this study, we analyzed and measured bio-potential which is generated by insulated acupuncture and traditional manual art(non-insulated acupuncture) on related meridian. We applied 4 times stimulus on acupoint(ST36) and non-acupoint. We studied the bio-potential which is generated in ST37(+) and ST39(-), during acupuncture stimulating at ST36. That is, left stomach meridian is stimulated by non-insulated acupuncture, then right stomach meridian is stimulated by insulated acupuncture. When an acupuncturist¡¯s bio-energy is passed on(non-insulation) and when is not(insulation), we analysed electric potential on meridian/non-meridian to verify effect of acupuncture therapy. We measured bio-potential using PowerLab 4 which is bio-amplifier, and analyzed using Biobench 2.0 which is bio-signal analysis software. In the results, when bio-energy is passed on, electric potential is all reacted to 4 times acupuncture stimulus. Average potential by non-insulated acupuncture is 2.3¡¾0.75mV on meridian, and is 1.5¡¾0.54mV on non-meridian. That is, meridian potential is higher than non-meridian potential. When we applied additional manual art stimulus on meridian/non-meridian, bio-potential is different as acupuncture method. But, when bio-energy isn¡¯t passed on, bio-potential is reacted to only the first of 4 times acupuncture stimulus on meridian and non-meridian. Average potential by insulated acupuncture is 1.3¡¾0.44mV on meridian, and is 1.2¡¾0.62mV on non-meridian. Electric potential for same stimulus is different on meridians and non-meridians, which implies that physiological construction and bio-energy transmission material is different respectively. Also, it is imply that there is existence and action of meridians which is distinguished from non-meridians.
Therefore, acupuncture therapy effect is verified as effect of response by acupuncturist¡¯s bio-energy, bio-electro charge or mental energy transmission rather than that by only metal acupuncture stimulus.
